This holiday season is a great time to reflect on the blessings we are thankful for, but it can also be a difficult time for those in need. The demand for food assistance is rising. With food pantries now serving more families than ever before, the members of the Goshen Soccer Club decided to act and graciously donated non-perishable food items to deliver to the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry. Through their amazing generosity, the Goshen Soccer Club was able to donate multiple bags and bins full of groceries. On Thursday, November 12, Goshen Soccer Club players helped deliver, unload, carry those donations up flights of stairs and stack the pantry shelves.
Soccer teaches us many life lessons, such as hard work, humility, respect, teamwork, and responsibility to name a few. The Goshen Soccer Club strives to develop our players so they can apply these life lessons, succeed on and off the field and be members of our community that we can all be proud of.
It is wonderful to see our young players and their families having a positive impact on our community. We will continue working hard to make additional donations to the food pantry and helping those in need.
